Formula 1: Fastest Cars Of All Time

Formula One or F1, which you may also know as FIA(Formula one championship), which is its official name, is one of the fastest and esteemed racing games globally, a single-seater auto racing game to be precise.

But, the game itself is not that old, with the history dating back to the 1950s. However, it is not then the game got popular; the period of the 1980s to 1990s was the one that created a super intense fanbase for speed racing games such as F1, which was maintained through the decades, evident by the game enthusiasts all over the world who greatly await new car launches and competitions each year.

The game covers a set of series known as ‘Grand Prix,’ french for ‘great prizes,’ with the Grand Prix tracks (tracks and circuits of the game) being 2.5 miles long with 12 turns.

While back in the initial days, the cars were minimalistic both in design and features with just an engine, fuel tank, wheels, and chassis, it is no longer the case today. The current generation of F1 cars has wind tunnels, portable sizes which earlier were humongous, onboard telemetry, and a 15000 rpm engine that is as strong and capable as to reach around 360km/hr.

Today, the game is solely based on how super talented the driver is and how high tech of a car he’s driving. Leaving the topic like best F1 drivers and pre-season testing for another day, let us dig right into the best F1 cars with insane features, power, and speed –

Mercedes AMG F1 W08 EQ Power+

While Mercedes might not have been at the top of the list some time ago, lewis hamilton sure turned the tables for all by achieving 100 pole positions after acing fastest lap in the qualifying session of the greatly anticipated Spanish Grand Prix. Comparison with Michael Schumacher on record is the most evident piece of how much Lewis Hamilton has achieved in his time as an F1 driver.

Coming back to the Mercedes F1 car; Although in the race field for some time, Mercedes has recently introduced several changes to this new F1 W08 model with carrying just 17% of components for the car from its predecessors in an attempt to reach the top.

While the powertrain is the same, a 1.6 liters turbocharged V6 engine, the changes to its chassis design with the most advanced features and fiery speed have sure brought a great deal of success for the model. Valtteri Bottas, a newcomer, alongside lewis Hamilton, is chosen to represent the car for the season.

Red Bull RB13

Before the Spanish Grand Prix, anyone would have named Red Bull as the fastest F1 car of all time without a second thought, and even though it no longer holds the supreme title, there is no doubt whatsoever in the brilliant capabilities of the Red Bull RB13.

Featuring Renault’s most advanced power engine, faster than its predecessor, a 2016 model, there is still a lot to Red Bull making it a supercar, such as a chassis built of monocoque structure that carries the Tag Heuer power unit that too as a fully stressed member.

What’s more, the speed in the car is boosted using a six-cylinder engine, with a maximum of 15000 rpm.
