Avoid Parking Under These Things!

Bridges

Once again, the typical thought process behind parking your car under a bridge is to avoid direct sunlight from ruining your interiors. However, know that parking under a bridge can cause much more significant damage than the sun can do. How is that? Well, bridges have several openings, columns, and other elements. And through the gaps of all these components, water leaks out. So, if you park your car under the bridge, the chances are that water will continue to drip over it all the time. This will result in water spots, sticky material, dust, or pretty much anything that’s stuck in there.

Other Fixed Objects

It is crucial to avoid trees and bridges while parking, but know that other fixed objects can cause even greater damage. And by fixed objects, what we mean is anything and everything that can either fall entirely or in pieces. You may or may not know about this, but every day, so many accidents occur where a fallen object from something above damages the parked vehicle.  And this may include objects like electric poles, signals, billboards, building extensions, and the list goes on. Even in parking lots, always make sure that there is no heavy, damage-causing fixed object above your car.

In addition to these, the following are also some of the worst parking spots that you can park at:

-Near children’s playgrounds

-Near dog parks

-Near garbage bins/trash locations

-Near intersections

CONCLUSION

All in all, it is fair to say that parking is a tricky business, especially if you want to keep your vehicle protected. This is why it is best to either invest in a personal garage or equip your vehicle with external coats and other preventive measures so that you don’t have to think too much.
